The trees in Ha Giang Province are grown mainly along the section from Yen Minh Town to Mau Due Ward in Yen Minh District and the Nho Que River area in Dong Van District.

Located about 300 kilometers (186 miles) from Hanoi, Ha Giang has become an increasingly enticing destination not only because of its spectacular scenery, but also because of its narrow, winding roads and mountain passes that sparkle the spirit of adventure among many tourists.

Ma Pi Leng, considered one of the four most dangerous passes in Vietnam, has to be negotiated by bike enthusiasts, a mean feat even for the most experienced travellers.

Ha Giang also draws many tourists through the yellow sight of rapeseed flowers fields, which are called cai meo and used to manufacture cooking oil. Visitors to the area of Chin Khoanh Slope, Pho Cao Commune and Sung La Commune of Dong Van District can find these fields in bloom.

Pink peach blossoms and white plum flowers add beauty to the ethnic H'Mong, Tay and Nung 'trinh tuong' houses, decorated with traditional yin-yang tiled roofs. These houses are constructed using a combination of clay and mud.

The H'Mong is Ha Giang Province's largest population, renowned for its history of cultivating rocky slopes.
